Brian F. LaBovick is admitted to the Florida Bar; the Federal Bar (in 1990); the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Florida (in 1993); and the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida (in 1993).
His work has earned him an “AV” rating from Martindale-Hubbell. The AV rating is the highest rank conferred by Martindale-Hubbell and reflects both professional ability and high ethical standards. Mr. LaBovick was named a Super Lawyer® by Super Lawyers Magazine.
Mr. LaBovick obtained a Bachelor of Philosophy at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, in 1987. He obtained a Juris Doctor at the University of Miami School of Law in Florida in 1990. Receiving the distinguished honor of being invited into the Graduate Program at the United States Department of Justice, he began his legal career as a Federal Prosecutor in 1990.
In 1992, Mr. LaBovick established the Florida law firm in Coral Gables, Florida. Initially, the firm was a General Practice and handled various types of cases, including civil, commercial, and criminal cases, securities litigation, bankruptcy, and dissolution of marriage. In 1993, LaBovick Law Group relocated to Palm Beach County and became exclusively a Plaintiffs firm with an emphasis on Civil Trial.

A native New Yorker, Peter moved to Florida in 2004 after receiving a full-tuition scholarship to attend law school at Nova Southeastern University. Sometimes, the elderly are taken advantage of by the aides that care for them or even family members. Being taken advantage of ranges from outright theft to being disguised as “gifts.” Often this happens because this family member or aide pressures your loved one using undue influence. Sometimes your loved one lacks the capacity to know what is happening, and someone takes advantage of them. Through probate litigation, Peter fights to reclaim the stolen property.
In his spare time, Peter loves practicing martial arts, traveling, and spending time with his family.
Stanley Buky passed away on March 16, 2014. He was a good friend and excellent work associate in the many years we knew him. We have left his attorney “of counsel” information detailed below as a tribute to his professionalism.

Because of his litigation knowledge and skills, Mr. Stanley Buky Esq. had been asked to serve in an “of counsel” capacity with Sokoloff and Weinstein, P.A., a general practice law firm based in Royal Palm Beach, Florida.
“Providing a Valuable Perspective”
After spending the first 18 years of his legal career defending corporations and insurance companies in personal injury cases, Stan Buky decided it was time to help those who had been injured rather than those who caused the injuries. He opened his own law firm in 1997 and dedicated himself to representing people who have been wrongfully injured at the hands of negligent drivers, airlines, cruise lines, big business, physicians, hospitals, nursing homes, and careless manufacturers of defective products.
Mr. Buky’s previous work experience on behalf of insurance companies and big business gave him a unique perspective and distinct advantage in representing injured plaintiffs. He knew how the other side thought and could anticipate what tactics their attorneys would likely use.
Mr. Buky passionately believed that there is no such thing as an ordinary person or routine case. He devoted personal time and attention to each client, focusing on their particular issues and circumstances
Professional Credentials
Mr. Buky was rated AV in the Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings system, meaning he had been recognized by his peers for reaching the height of professional excellence and ethical practice. He was an active member of the Palm Beach County Trial Lawyers (Justice) Association and a member of the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers.
In 2006, Mr. Buky completed training to become a certified Florida Supreme Court Civil Mediator. This training provided him with additional insight into the mediation process and strengthened his competency as a legal strategist, since mediation was required in almost every circuit court case before it can go to trial.
Educational and Professional Biography (Bio)
After completing undergraduate studies at the University of Florida and graduating magna cum laude from Georgia State University, Mr. Buky entered the University of Florida College of Law. He was awarded the Dean’s “Book Award” for excellence in legal research and writing, and graduated in 1980.
Mr. Buky’s first employer was one of the largest and oldest insurance defense firms in Miami, Florida. He learned the ropes in the litigation arena assisting senior partners in large and complex trials. In addition, he was given the opportunity to independently try scores of jury trials involving automobile accidents, slip and falls, and negligent security cases involving assault and batteries on commercial properties.
As his litigation skills and experience progressed, Mr. Buky handled more complex cases involving toxic waste sites, aviation, maritime, and commercial construction cases. He co-counseled one of the first asbestos cases to be tried before a jury. His practice involved insurance coverage disputes, dozens of mediations, and numerous arbitrations before the American Arbitration Association.
In 1986, Mr. Buky joined a smaller insurance defense firm offering growth opportunities. He spearheaded the opening of a branch office in West Palm Beach, Florida and became its managing partner. He subsequently sought more personal satisfaction in the practice of law, opening his own practice specifically to represent wrongfully injured plaintiffs.
